(WCN file photo)

Found out today from the Daily Journal of Commerce that the beautiful new White Center Library, which opened last May, is a finalist in their “Building of the Year” competition. And you can vote – go here to find out more about the contest, and to vote before the end of the month. (Scroll down – the library’s at the bottom of the list.)

  1. Please take a minute and vote for our new library. It is beautiful there when lit up at night.

  2. What’s up with the homeless and drug addicts hanging out in front of the new library? Not saying its a problem, but this wasn’t happening at the prior building and it was across the street from a local bar, McMurphys (Fire Dog). Regardless, loitering should not be permitted. It defaces any public place regardless of who is “hanging” outside. Do your business and get on with your day.

  3. There’s still time to vote!
