Just received from the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council – an invitation for you:
The Opportunity to Be Informed, Be Involved and Be Heard
At the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council (NHUAC) Meeting!
When: Thursday, November 5th @ 7 pm
Where: North Highline Fire Station in White Center
1243 SW 112th Street (Parking and Entrance are in the Back of the Station).Mark your calendars and plan on joining NHUAC for an informative community meeting on Nov 5th.
We are pleased to be hosting Urban Forestry Program Manager Joanna Nelson de Flores, who will provide exciting updates on the restoration project at North Shorewood Park and two other community parks. Joanna will also share information about an upcoming North Highline tree giveaway.
Additionally, we are happy to host our South Park neighbor, Maria Guadalupe Ramirez, who is part of a coalition, Reconnect South Park, (RSP) that formed to study options for the portion of Highway 99 that runs from Tukwilla International Boulevard to the north end of Holden Street. RSP is working to transform this segment of SR-99 into a thriving community centered space.
The goals of RSP include: realign 1950’s era planning with a future-forward investment to balance mobility and safety, community opportunity and environmental justice. Reallocate space for housing, habitat, local businesses and industry, collaboratively driving long-term economic growth and regional benefits.
Thank you for showing up and supporting your community!
