San Gennaro Foundation of Seattle once again brings a traditional Italian heritage celebration with food, wine and entertainment to Georgetown September 5th through 7th:

Festival attendees will enjoy a weekend of wonderful Italian cuisine and wares, a beer and wine garden and more, including plenty of lively entertainment. This year’s headliner is one of the best Italian-American bands in the country, Ray Massa’s EuroRhythms, playing Saturday at 1 pm and 8 pm, and Sunday at 12 pm and 4:30 pm.

FESTIVAL HOURS:
Friday Sept 5th, 6 pm–10 pm
Saturday Sept 6th, 10 am–10 pm
Sunday Sept 7th, 10 am–6 pm

Other highlights include a kids’ area with different activities throughout the day, including free face painting, “Cinema Sotto Le Stelle” (Movie Under the Stars) on Friday night, an appearance by Italian Chef Maria Concetta who will be joining us all the way from Sicily, Italy at the Chiodo Brokerage booth, and Father Saguto of the North American Martyrs Church will once again lead a traditional procession first thing Saturday morning starting at 12 pm.

Last year, the San Gennaro Foundation donated festival proceeds to the Puget Sound Blood Center, and this year the Foundation is proud to support another worthwhile cause as its 2014 benefiting charity: The Goodtimes Project. The Goodtimes Project is an organization that offers families affected by childhood cancer a cost-free week of summer camp called Camp Goodtimes.

Volunteers from the Goodtimes Project will be available throughout the weekend to share more about their organization.

The festival will once again hold a blood drive to raise awareness and much needed donations for the Puget Sound Blood Center.

The San Gennaro Foundation is a non-profit organization created in 2013 to honor St. Gennaro, the Patron Saint of Naples, and his commitment to help people in need. The Foundation’s goal is to raise money through events such as the San Gennaro Festival to help support local community efforts.

Festival location on South Angelo Street and Ellis Ave South. For more information about the festival or about Saint Gennaro, please visit our website at www.sangennarofestivalseattle.org.
