POWER OUTAGE: 2,100 customers out in White Center, West Seattle, South Park after truck hits wires
9:53 AM: Parts of White Center are affected by a 2,100-customer power outage that started right after a solid-waste truck hit wires in West Seattle, west of 16th SW and SW Myrtle. What’s shown above is a screengrab of the outage zone shown on the Seattle City Light map.
10:19 AM: City Light is on scene; the truck driver apparently left after the incident.
10:59 AM: More than two-thirds of those affected should be back on, the map shows – 647 customers remain out, and it appears none are in White Center.
11:29 AM: Down to 375 still out.
