If you haven’t already heard about this – it’s gotten regional media attention – we’ve been asked to share the link for a crowdfunding campaign to help White Center businesses recover from vandalism. The GoFundMe page says businesses hit so far include:

That is sickening, and sickness appears to be the root cause. While it is encouraging that the community wants to contribute to help the businesses unfairly targeted, that sick behavior is likely to continue until the root cause is addressed. We as a society must find a way to provide the mental health and substance abuse treatment that people like this need, and then the enforcement to prevent them from continuing to hurt our community.
