White Center Jubilee Days 2015: Fireworks, carnival on Wednesday

This year’s Jubilee Days festival is about to gear up, with big events Wednesday – the fireworks show at dusk at Steve Cox Memorial Park, where you’ll also find the five-day carnival starting the same day. Also from the WCJD website – the main-stage schedule, and the family-stage schedule for the festival’s two biggest days, next Saturday and Sunday (July 18-19).

We received the 2015 Jubilee Days official program delivered to our door by volunteers. In fact, the entire seven day event is done by volunteers working to keep this important historical celebration going. The publication is fantastic , the schedule is impressive, and the support from the business community reflects well on the group who keep this event alive.

Jubilee Days President Pete Mort built the sponsorship list, which any community would be proud of. Tommy Martin found the long list of entertainers, which was no small feat. The Robisons did the fireworks and parade and Garden Tour; again a significant accomplishment, and the Krause family continues to make this event happen. And the Joe Trujillo Car Show on Sat. July 18 will be great. Bring the kids, come on out for a great time. And thanks to all the community volunteers who continue to bring this event back to White Center.

  2. And Dr. Hill at New Balance Chiropractic sponsored the T-shirts for about the 10th year in a row. Cheers and applause all around.
