Presidents Day today: Holiday notes
For Highline Public Schools, it’s mid-winter break all week till classes resume Wednesday. Most if not all others have at least today off. … Metro is on a “weekday/no UW” schedule. … Sound Transit services’ plans are here … No U.S. Postal Service delivery … The King County Library System is closed today (including the website, which is scheduled to be down 8 am-5 pm for maintenance).

According to the Highline Public Schools calendar, There is school Weds-Fri. They alternate (yearly) week-long breaks with long weekends. This year it’s the long weekend.

Thanks for the correction. Hadn’t heard about the alternating-years thing. Seattle will no longer have weeklong mid-winter break after this year, FWIW.

FYI, Highline is only on mid-winter break through Tuesday. We go back Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Woe, woe, woe….definitely yearning for Seattle Public Schools’ schedule right now.
