Male Shiba Inu found in White Center – know whose it is?

July 23rd, 2012 Tracy Posted in Pets, White Center news Comments Off on Male Shiba Inu found in White Center – know whose it is?

This was sent in for the lost/found-pets section on partner site West Seattle Blog, but he turned up in WC:

Unaltered male Shiba Inu found this afternoon around 4:30 in White Center east of McLendon. No collar or identification (I added the red collar for manageability), friendly and good natured. Fetches and sits like a champ. I have no doubt someone owns and loves this guy, likely he pulled out of a collar or escaped from an open door or gate. Please contact me … if this is your dog or you know who’s it is. If I don’t hear from anyone I will take him to Animal Control (this) morning to see if he is chipped. 206.234.7445, ppeerman@gmail.com

Lost Weimaraner dog from West Seattle might be in White Center or Highland Park

May 9th, 2011 Tracy Posted in Pets, White Center news 2 Comments »

The dog added to our West Seattle Blog Lost/Found Pets Page on Sunday evening disappeared from the Gatewood area but might be in White Center, according to a sighting that came in Sunday night. The dog’s owner has been notified, but we don’t have word yet of a reunion, so we are publishing a heads-up here too: August is a 2-year-old Weimaraner, not wearing his collar. Anne from South Park was headed east on Roxbury when she saw a Weimaraner running in traffic west near 8th and Roxbury and sent WSB a note about it. She’s also talked to August’s owner, Joshua, and she notified police. If you see a dog that looks like August, you can reach Joshua at 206-856-5860.

During these times of high unemployment, people are coming to the food bank that never needed to come before.

The Kiwanis Pet Food Drive is part of the Governors Project K-9. The project challenges Kiwanis members/clubs or districts to complete a Service Project to volunteer with, learn about or donate to an organization that helps dogs or uses dogs to help people.

We are so happy to announce that Scatt was released from vet care Thursday, April 28th and is now living with The Cross Church Pastor and his Wife at their home.

“Scatt is home and doing well… He is “perched” near a window, where he can see out and have the sunshine on his stitches. He has had antibiotics, pain meds and warm packs -doing great- he also is eating and drinking a lot… AMEN!”

Meantime, Scatt’s accused attacker is due in court this Wednesday. Full details, and a new photo, on the Pasado’s Safe Haven website.
